Updated: Jan 10, 2022

In today's post we'll take a look at some featured projects in the Nashville terrazzo market. I'll discuss pricing as well as the typical terrazzo contractors that are installing in this area.

Nashville has been a rapidly growing city and this has kept the the residential and commercial construction markets healthy. The majority of the terrazzo is found in commercial applications. Nashville's terrazzo market is diverse as you'll see below. As designers and owners are better understanding the benefits of epoxy terrazzo they are specifying more and more terrazzo.

As a terrazzo representative I get the pleasure of serving the A&D market in Nashville. I'm thankful to have been involved with so many great projects. I truly enjoy servicing the Nashville A&D market. We are here to support designers with terrazzo samples, specifications, budget pricing and detail review.

The Nashville market can expect to see most terrazzo flooring to be installed for around $25 per sf. Of course this can vary based on the scope of the terrazzo installation, particularly size of the job and intricacy of the floor pattern. The four commonly used terrazzo contractors installing in the Nashville Tennessee area are listed below:

Below we've highlighted some of Nashvilles featured terrazzo projects.

Tennessee State Museum

Designed by HGA and EOA, the two-story museum is located with expansive views of Nashville skyline. The design engages the public in the history and significance of the State of Tennessee through collections, displays in flexible exhibit spaces, programs in interactive learning spaces, with strict adherence to the highest quality standards for museum facilities that allow the institution to borrow and display a range of works from other international institutions. Approx 20,000 of three color epoxy terrazzo was installed by Rosa Mosaic.

Lifeway Headquarters

Recently moved to their new 277,000-square-foot, nine-story building located within downtown Nashville’s Capitol View development. Gresham Smith partnered with LifeWay to help them prepare for this major workplace transition and designed their brand-new HQ to reflect the company’s history while consolidating, modernizing and representing their new identity. Installed by Rosa Mosaic.

The 12-story hotel offers 203 guest-rooms, as well as conference and banquet spaces, and a fitness center. Beautiful precast palladiana terrazzo accented with brass dividers offers the perfect aesthetic for the boutique hotel.

Fairlane Hotel

Located in downtown Nashville, TN at the corner of 4th Avenue and Union Street, the Fairlane Hotel is an 81-room boutique hotel repurposed from a mid-century bank building.

The design team, which included Reunion Goods and Services, worked to preserve and highlight the original modernist architecture and design details, harking back to the 1960s and 70s. The hotel’s style accentuates the architecture of the building, and its classic look does not exist among Nashville’s current hotel options. Installed by David Allen Company.
